I Danced at Your Wedding

I found these vintage shoes in a thrift shop years ago, and could not pass them up even though they are half a size too small for me. Last time I wore them was at a friend’s wedding about 17 years ago — they looked amazing and they gave me memorable blisters. 

I still can’t bear to part with them, so now they’re art.

Somehow this camellia looks even more elegant in her decomposition. I loved painting the edges all dried out and papery.
